Welcome to the GPCR-OKB


The GPCR-OKB is an information management system that allows browsing, visualization, and structured querying of computational and experimental information about G Protein-Coupled Receptor (GPCR) oligomerization, thus supporting productive and quantitative communication between computational and experimental scientists working in the field.

Although many biochemical and biophysical data are consistent with the ability of monomeric receptors to activate heterotrimeric G-proteins, more and more experimental evidence indicates that GPCRs can form either homo-oligomers or hetero-oligomers. For simplicity, GPCR-OKB will refer to GPCR oligomers, although direct evidence for higher-order oligomerization is not available yet for most receptors.
